Where it all began…
Hi, my name is Liz and I am the founder of The Furry Dogmother, thank you for visiting our website. I was born on the idyllic Isle of Man, the land of the world famous, tail-less Manx cat! Whilst growing up within a close-knit family, we had a menagerie of pets including Gertie, the Californian rabbit, two budgies; Shaun and Brendan (who spent much of their time making a bid for freedom), various goldfish along the way and Marco, the exuberant Springer/Cocker spaniel cross - they certainly broke the mould when they made him!
After I left the family home, taking Marco with me, I spent a long time searching for a reliable dog walker/sitter who I felt I could trust not only to care for Marco, who was part of the family, but could trust in my home too, so I can totally understand how you feel when you are faced with this situation. We only want the best for our pets!
From that moment on I decided that I wanted to set up my own business offering the kind of service that I had been searching so long for… and so in January 2013 The Furry Dogmother was formed!
I hope that my passion shows in the way our business operates.
My team are genuine pet lovers and have a wealth of experience gained over the years in pet care, having looked after the much loved pets of family, friends, neighbours and clients whilst they went away on their well-earned holidays, on business or that last minute break.
